WHAT WE BELIEVE

STATEMENT OF FAITH & CORE VALUES

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Word of God: We believe that the Holy Bible was written by divine inspiration and is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Bible is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness that the man of God may be complete and equipped for every good work. It is a book of divine instruction. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 1:1-14)

The Holy Trinity: We believe in the Holy Trinity, one Being in three Persons. God the Father, God the Son (word) and God the Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity has distinct personal attributes but yet is still one. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

God The Father: We believe that there is only one true and living God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving,  truthful, and absolutely good. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent.  He is fatherly in His attitude toward all people. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, omnipresent, omnipotent, and sovereign. (Isaiah 44:6; Galatians 4:6)

God The Son: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The one and only begotten Son of God was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom on Earth. He was willingly crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is alive today in the presence of God the Father and His people. He is both fully God and fully man. (Matthew 1:18-23; Matthew 3:13-17; John 3:18)

God The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the living God (the Comforter, the Intercessor, the Strengthener, the Standby, the Counselor). He illuminates men to understand truth, and He draws men to the Father. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. The Holy Spirit adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as sons and daughters. We believe the Holy Spirit enables us to live by the fruit of the spirit and equips us to live Holy before the Father through Jesus’s Blood Sacrifice and distributes gifts as he wills. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; John 14:12-21; Matthew 28:19; John 15:26; Joel 2:28-30)

Creation: We believe that God created all things in their perfect state. Because mankind disobeyed God, sin, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world, and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin. (Genesis 1:3-31)

Salvation: We believe in the new birth as the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit whereby believers become a new creation in Christ Jesus. God’s grace saves us through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God by repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord.  (2 Cor 5:17; John 3:16-18; Eph 1:3-14; Romans 10:9-13)

Mankind, Family & Marriage: We believe that according to scripture, mankind was created in the image of God, male and female He created them. We believe marriage is an institution created by God as a covenant relationship exclusively between one man and one woman. We believe God intends for sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to one another. (Genesis 9:1; Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:18-25; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Corinthians 7:2-5; Genesis 3; Hebrews 13:4; Romans 1:26-27)

Sanctity of Life: We believe that all human life (including pre-born babies) is sacred and created by God in His image and should be protected. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:4-5; Jeremiah 1:4-5; Psalm 139; Proverbs 31:8)

This statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself —the infallible, written Word of God is the sole basis and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Garden Gate Ranch faith, practice, policy, and discipline, our founder and board of advisors are the final interpretive authority on the meaning and application of the Statement of Faith. This statement of faith informs all potential residents, volunteers, staff and donors of the guidelines by which we operate. This is meant for you to acknowledge and agree not to act in a contrary manner concerning our beliefs as they pertain to direct involvement with GGR residents, volunteers, staff, Board and donors.
